Artists are asked to submit works that tackle the theme of sexual harassment and examine the realities of women's lives as they negotiate public and private space, to the Darb 1718 Contemporary Art and Culture Centre by Wednesday 20 June at the latest. Selected works will be then displayed at an exhibition that will open on 15 July at Townhouse Gallery. On 20 June, Darb 1718 will host an event by the anti-sexual harassment group, HarassMap, which will offer audiences and artists the chance to understand the group's work and raise awareness of the problem. HarassMap is a volunteer initiative that works to end social tolerance of sexual harassment using face-to-face community outreach and social media and mobile phone-based reporting systems for victims.
