Deputizing for Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya Al Hassan, Senator Akil Beltaji opened on Sunday the Japanese Handicrafts Exhibition at the Jordan Museum in the presence of the Japanese Ambassador to Jordan Junichi Kosuge. Beltaji stressed the importance of such an exhibition in boosting cultural cooperation between Jordan and Japan, adding it highlights the old Japanese traditional art. He said Jordan Museum is part of the Tourism Development Project which is supported by Japan. The Japanese ambassador said the exhibition aims at acquainting the Jordanian people with the old Japanese culture, noting it would contribute to promoting cultural cooperation between the two countries. The two-week exhibition introduces handcrafted objects made from traditional materials with traditional techniques from all over Japan.
