Proceedings of the 14th Arab Fikr (thought) conference wrapped up meetings at the Arab League (AL) headquarters in Cairo on Tuesday in the presence of AL Secretary General Nabil El Arabi.
The participants of the conference, which was organized by the Arab Thought Foundation, praised president Abdel Fattah El Sisi speech at the conference inauguration.
Sisi had said achieving progress does not only depend on the availability of resources, either natural, financial or human but also on promoting teamwork and crystalizing joint visions to bring about the aspirations and ambitions of Arab nations for proper living, responsible freedom and social justice.
The Egyptian president stressed that maximum priority should be given to developing the industry sector under an Arab comprehensive framework.
He said industrial development has to be tied with economic and social policies in Arab countries to achieve its desired goals and contribute to improving the standard of living of Arab citizens and reducing import dependency.
The conference witnessed a number of workshops attended by prominent politicians and intellectuals.
