Drake McCreiess believes war, and the things he did, are both behind him. Now back in society and no longer facing the constant threat of death, Drake is fighting a war with a new enemy – himself.
Author Belford Scott tells the emotional story of Drake McCreiess in his new novel “Drake McCreiess Society” (published by AuthorHouse), which draws from Scott’s own experiences with the military.
Daily life is already a struggle for Drake. Knowing he is better than those creating the rules and heading public offices, he often feels above the law. Drake’s life becomes further complicated when he finds himself in the midst of an evil association who wants to exploit his proficiency at dealing death.
“The story is about war and powerful people making destructive decisions; McCreiess is wounded by war, love and betrayal and his search for peace is both violent and touching,” Scott says. “McCreiess can kill people who traffic human beings without remorse yet he will shed tears over a dead bird.”
“Drake McCreiess Society” tells the emotional story of Drake and his struggle to fully recover from war. It aims to teach readers about the true cost of combat.
