Bernadette Bland lets imagination run wild in new collection

Bernadette Bland brings together fanciful thoughts, dreams and visions and shares them in a variety of formats in her new book, “Flights of Fancy: A Book of Poetry, Prose, and Imaginative Short Stories” (published by iUniverse). Bland’s poetry is filled with evocative images that bring readers deeper into her world. She imagines being on a mountain top on a warm spring day, experiencing the thrill of a sports car racing down a lonely highway or down a crowded racing track and points out the beauty of the natural world. “It is different than the average story,” Bland says of her work. “It can be about human kindness, or nothing at all except a dream.
