Morocco will take part in the 9th international Euro Arab Film Festival, to be held on October 23-30 in Santiago de Compostela in Galicia (northwestern Spain), said organizers. Over thirty films from Morocco, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, the Unites Arab Emirates, Egypt, France, Spain and the USA, will vie for awards in various categories, including best fiction feature and short films, best documentary, best director, best actor and actress. Organized by the Araguaney Foundation, the Festival is meant to bring Arab social context and culture closer to the general public, thanks to the international language of cinema. A short film competition "Amal Express" for Arab youth directors will be also organized as part of the festival with the aim to encourage creativity and innovation, as well as promoting digital media culture.
