Kuwait Ambassador to Australia Khaled Al-Shaibani praised Australia's National Multicultural Festival, noting to its role in bringing together diverse nations, cultures and traditions. The Kuwaiti Embassy's participation in the event, held between February 8 and 10, was commended by Australia's Minister for Multicultural Affairs Senator Kate Lundy for Kuwait's commitment to interacting with other cultures, the ambassador told KUNA over the phone. The Kuwait exhibit at the event reflects the lives of desert and sea dwellers in olden times in the Gulf country. Publications and booklets on Kuwait's cultural sites were also handed out to visitors for free. "The embassy makes sure to participate every year in the event, which also witnesses the attendance of other Arab countries," he added. Al-Shaibani went on to stress the importance of this participation as it reflects how far the country has come and its commitment to cultural diversity.
