As part of the ongoing Croisements Festival, Metamorphoz Company brought modern dance Street Ballet, choreographed by French award-winning artist Mohamed Rouabah, to Beijing. The show, which was held at Beijing World Financial Center, saw six hip-hop and circus-trained dancers, dressed in white and masked like clowns, fluidly combine their hip-hop choreography with well-known classical rhythms. The dance transported the audiences into an alternative universe where musical emotion takes form through dexterity and technical prowess. All the dancers have contributed their personal experiences to the collective since it was founded in 2008.
