Algerian humourist Mohamed Yabdri will present his one-man show "A Clown in Exile" at the 11th International Theatre Festival of Libreville, Gabon, from May 27 to June 2, the event's organizers said Sunday. The show, directed by US Noah Bremer, using Algerian Rachid Hamideche's music, will compete with the productions of playwrights from 11 other countries. The one-man-show relates the tribulations of a man named "Pas" who leaves Algeria for the United States. Accompanied by a dog and a hen, "Pas" discovers the post-modern world through events that spark laughs and tears. "A Clown in Exile" participated, out of competition, at Algiers' National Professional Theatre in May 2013, and at the "Fringe Festival" in the United States in August. After Cameroon in 2010, Gabon is the third African country where the one-man-show is to be performed.
