Hungary is the focus of the 45th edition of the Festival of Nations of Città di Castello, from August 25th to September 7th. This year the Festival's spotlight will shine on this nation rich in musical tradition and cultural diversity. Among the Hungarian musicians being hosted by Città di Castello are the extraordinary violinist Roby Lakatos, as well as Tamás Vásáry, the Kodály Quartet and Làszlo Kovàcs. Meanwhile, Grigory Sokolov will guide the audience through the world of Brahms – who was the ideal example of a German musician fascinated by the rhythms of the Magyars – and last but not least, the Strauss Festival Orchester Wien, emblem of Austro-Hungarian sound and emotion, will also take the stage. The Festival of Nations has by now attained both national and international acclaim, bringing tourists from every part of Europe to the city and the Alta Valle zone every year. From / ITALIA website
