Bob Dylan has romped his way through a twangy, bluesy set of a number of his hits before an appreciative crowd at the Montreux Jazz Festival. Hundreds of people packed the festival Sunday to hear a two-hour set that showed the 71-year-old Dylan, a little more than a week into his summer European tour, isn’t one to live musically in the past. Dylan’s expert backing band featuring violin, stand-up bass and slide guitar complemented his own piano, harp and electric guitar, and his distinctive and occasionally raspy voice. The audience swayed and clapped along with the biggest applause coming for his rollicking versions of Like A Rolling Stone, All Along The Watchtower and the encore, Blowing In the Wind. from gulfnews.com
