The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Abdul-Illah Abu-Sin, announced that around 200 local and foreign publishing houses will take part at Khartoum International Book Exhibition, scheduled to begin on September 1st.
At the regular news forum of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Wednesday, Abu-Sin indicated that the Chairman of the Arab Publishers Union, a number of prominent Arab intellectuals and authors as well as a big number of publishing houses and embassies will take part at Khartoum International Book Exhibition and the accompanying activities.
He said that preparations have been finalized to hold the book exhibition which is sponsored by the Arab Publishers Union.
He indicated that holding of the coming session of Khartoum International Book Exhibition comes in an important timing in Sudan which witnessed start of the societal dialogue and after the decree issued by the President of the Republic on establishment of a separate Ministry of Culture.
Abu-Sin said that Saudi Arab alone will take part at the book exhibition with 30 publishing houses and a number of universities and scholars, adding that 5000 Holy Quran Books will be distributed at the book exhibition.
