The river bed of Xiangjiang River is seen in Changsha, capital of central China's Hunan Province, Oct. 21, 2011. By 8 a.m. on Thursday, the water level of Xiangjiang fell to 25.05 meters, which affects the water supply of Changsha. Due to insufficient rainfall in recent days, the water of Xiangjiang River decreased. River transportation was also affected as some ships and vessels were stranded. Local government has taken emergent measures to fetch water from central part of the river in order to provide the citizens with enough tap water
