Iran's Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that the pressure imposed by the United States and the West would not affect the continuation of Iran's nuclear program. "Iran's parliament clearly announces that such U.S. and western countries' actions would never affect Iran's nuclear issue," Larijani was quoted by the semi-official ISNA news agency as saying. Larijani's remarks followed similar comments from a number of Iranian officials in response to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA)'s resolution adopted Friday on Tehran's disputed nuclear program, which called for intensified dialogue to find solutions to unresolved issues. While voicing "deep and increasing concern" over the country's nuclear program, the UN atomic watchdog said that it was " essential" for Iran and the IAEA to "intensify their dialogue" aiming at the "urgent" solution of all outstanding issues.
