The National Service and Reserve Authority of the UAE Armed Forces has launched an initiative allowing the parents of recruits to visit training camps and learn about the everyday activities and types of training that their sons receive.
In the open day initiative, parents of recruits from the seventh batch visited four military training centres, thanks to directives from His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to boost communication between the authority and society during the four-month period of essential training, noted Brigadier Mohammad Suhail Al Neyadi, Director of Strategic Planning at the National Service and Reserve Authority.
The initiative highlights the recruits transition period from civilian to military life, characterised by discipline, commitment, seriousness, self-reliance and responsibility, he added
