Landslide, caused by torrential rain, occurred in Falam, Myanmar's Chin state Saturday with no casualties reported, official media reported Sunday.
Triggered by cyclone Roanu, the landslide took place at the retaining wall of the staff quarters of the Construction Department in Balai ward.
Families living in the building have been arranged to move out to a safer place.
Cyclone Roanu would cross Chin state and Sagaing region within 12 hours, Myanmar's Meteorology and Hydrology Department reported Saturday night.
Local authorities in Chin state and Sagaing region have notified local people to remain high alert against Cyclone Roanu which has moved through the Bay of Bengal approaching the country.
The department has issued an orange alert for Cyclone Roanu which is set to make landfall over Cox's Bazaar in Bangladesh on Sunday evening. Then it will cross into Myanmar's Chin state as it recedes.
