The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokesperson, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif has confirmed Monday the death of an Algerian 3-year-old boy, Abdallah Youcef Abdeldjebbar Derradji, in an Israeli airstrike in Rafah.
"The death of the 3-year-old boy Abdallah Youcef Abdeldjabbar Derradji in an Israeli airstrike in Rafah has been unfortunately confirmed by his family when we contacted them," Abdelaziz Benali Cherif told APS.
"The martyr boy will be laid to rest at the martyrs' cemetery in the governorate of Rafah," he said.
"Algerian Embassy in Cairo had proposed to the family of the martyr boy to evacuate them to Algeria with the first group of Algerian families but they refused and preferred to remain with the Palestinians in Gaza," he added.
The Foreign Ministry's spokesman also announced the arrival Monday in Algeria of two families of six members that the Algeria diplomatic services managed to evacuate from Gaza."
