Egyptian army forces killed four Islamist militants and arrested 36 others in a military operation in North Sinai, spokesman of the Egyptian Armed Forces Col. Ahmad Ali said Saturday. "The operation targeted ''''takfiri'''' persons (Islamist militants accusing other Muslims of blasphemy) belonging to the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood Group," he said. "During the operation two machineguns, two sniper rifles, a 51 mm assault rifle, and a quantity of various ammunitions were seized," Col. Ali said, noting that a roadside explosive device was defused. The military forces also destroyed eight tunnels across the borders with Gaza Strip, as well as a car and 27 motorbikes which carried no number plates, he added.
