Safaga customs authorities under Mohamed Gamal thwarted four attempts to smuggle medical equipment and auto spare parts to avoid paying the customs' fees, an official source with Safaga Customs Authority said on Sunday.
The compensation for the smuggled medical equipment and auto spare parts will be estimated at EGP 39,000, he added.
Director General of Safaga Customs Authority Yahia Saeed ordered taking all necessary legal procedures and filing four reports on customs evasion as well as confiscating the seizures.
