The London Design Museum’s official Christmas tree designer has been unveiled as no other than Ms Mary Katrantzou. The fashionable fir features patterns from her Autumn/Winter2012 Collection, and will be displayed as a 2D design on the outside wall of the museum. The tree was created to combine Katrantzou's trademark print with Christmas magic to make a statement about the current exciting design scene in London. "The print was inspired by formal gardens and artful box parterres, these were layered and overlaid to create an intricate maze-like print reminiscent of a hand embroidered lace motif," Katrantzou commented. Her tree will be displayed from December 4 2012 - January 9 2013.
