Schelotto: We can defeat Inter but it will not be easy

The 22-year-old underlines his team’s objective this season following their promotion from Serie B and earmarks Wesley Sneijder and Giampaolo Pazzini as the visitors’ key dangermen.Atalanta midfielder Ezequiel Schelotto is confident that his side can get the better of Inter during their Serie A clash at home on Wednesday.Stefano Colantuono’s team are currently a point and a place above the Milan giants in 15th with eight points from seven matches and are coming off the back of a 2-1 away victory over Parma on Sunday.The Bergamo-based club could have been level on 14 points with second-placed Lazio, just a point behind leaders Udinese, had they not been docked six points at the start of the 2011-12 campaign after being found guilty of involvement in a betting scandal.Schelotto is pleased that Atalanta have made an impressive start to the season and believes that they have the ability to defeat the 2010 Italian and European champions Inter at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia.“It can happen,” the 22-year-old Tutto Atalanta. “All games are winnable.“This is a very strange season where there is a lot of balance in the league and a lot of unpredictability.“At the start of the season our aim was to just eliminate our handicap as soon as possible. Now that has happened we have set ourselves other objectives, the first of them being to confirm our Serie A status.”However, Schelotto apprehends that beating Claudio Ranieri’s Inter will not be easy given the quality of players their opponents possess.“Every player in the Inter squad is capable of changing the outcome of a game,” he said. “We have to be very aware as they attack on the left and the right.“Wesley Sneijder can change the game in an instant, while Giampaolo Pazzini has shown that he can do you harm in the penalty area.”Atalanta are unbeaten in their three Serie A home games this season while Inter have lost three of their four away league matches.
