England's Peter Richardson proved untouchable today as he won the inaugural Sheikh Maktoum Dubai Open. The 27 year old carded a third and final round score of 68, to finish on 16-under and four shots a clear of Canada's Lindsay Reynolds and Dale Marmion of England. Reynolds shot a superb 64 to move up the leaderboard, while Marmion picked up seven shots on his back nine. But neither was ever going to catch Richardson who led from the start to finish. "This is massive for me and it hasn't sunk in yet," said the winner who now goes on to next week's final Mena Tour event, the Tour Championship in Al Ain. "I'm really hoping this is the kick forward my career needs. I felt good over all three days and only dropped five shots, which is really good going."
