A first ATP tournament win for Janko Tipsarevic boosted his ranking four spots while Andy Murray stated his desire to finish the year at a world No. 3 ranking. Murray and Tipsarevic won the ATP's two tournaments last week. Murray rolled past American Donald Young for a 6-2, 6-0 victory Sunday in Bangkok for his the 19th tournament championship of his career. Tipsarevic defeated Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 7-5 and picked up his first ATP title at the Malaysian Open. Tipsarevic had been 0-4 -- 0-2 this year -- in tournament finals before Sunday's win. The moves him up four ranking spots to match his career high at No. 13. Murray's win didn't change any rankings spot. In fact, the 12 places ahead of Tipsarevic are the same as a week ago. But after winning the PTT Thailand Open, Murray stated his goal was to move past Roger Federer and finish the year with a No. 3 ranking, up from his current place in fourth. There are several high-profile tournaments on the schedule that could help Murray with that effort, including next week's Shanghai Masters where he is the defending champion. He's also in the draw for this week's Japan Open, which has three other Top 10 players, including world No. 2 Rafael Nadal. There are also three Top 10 players at the China Open. The only high-ranked players not in action are No. 1 Novak Djokovic, Federer and Robin Soderling. Djokovic has 14,720 ranking points, well ahead of Nadal (10,575) and Federer (8,380) and nearly twice Murray's 7,415. David Ferrer (4,200) is fifth, with Soderling (3,770) in sixth and Jo-Wilfried Tsonga seventh with 2,870 points. Mardy Fish (2,820) is eighth, ahead of No. 9 Gael Monfils (2,780) and No. 10 Tomas Berdych (2,775).
