The former Italy international sees similarities between the current squad and the players who conquered Europe in the 1990sFormer Juventus ace Angelo Di Livio has stated that watching head coach Antonio Conte's men in action this season reminds him of the team he played in under Marcello Lippi in the 1990s.Di Livio wore the Juventus jersey from 1993 until 1999 and made over 150 official appearances for the Turin giants."Yes, I admit it: I am reminded of the Juventus I played for by Conte's squad," the former wing-back told Tuttosport.Di Livio, who is currently a youth-team coach at Roma, also commented that current player Simone Pepe actually reminds him of himself in terms of his on-field style."Pepe the 'new soldier'? I have to say I see much of myself in him: he can play in defence and attack, and always finds himself in the right position."I enjoy the comparison. I do not know if he [Pepe] is pleased!"Juventus it top of the Serie A table at the moment with 11 points from five games. Their next match is the away clash against Chievo on October 16.
