Morocco’s new Prime Minister Saad Eddine Othmani revealed that he has a good opportunity to form his government, saying that the delay in the formation the new government is normal. He added that Justice and Development Party managed to form the government in 2011 in only one month, as it was negotiating with more flexible parties.
He praised the steps taken by the Moroccan government to restore the Desert Region in a peaceful way, saying that the Moroccan approach pushed the Spanish government to accept the negotiations in this regard during the recent period.
He added that his country took different approached to restore its rights regarding the desert issue, saying that they take into account the powers supporting the separatists, while they will resume their battle to gain their rights despite the increasing challenges.
He added that his country submitted a proposal to provide the separatists with the Self-rule right, stressing that the compromise gained the support of many international powers. He stressed the importance of the recent steps to return the African Union.
He added the Moroccan return to the African organization will allow the Moroccan government to convince the African state of the Moroccan position towards the issue. He underlined the Moroccan success to convince 17 African states to withdraw their recognition of the Saharan Republic, saying that Africa is considered one of the major fronts to defend the Moroccan rights.
