Head of the Center for Political Thought Ihsan Al Shamry revealed that one of the main reasons for the entry of Iraqi forces into Kirkuk was to prevent "targeting Turkmen", pointing to the displacement and burning of houses by the Kurds to other components.
He added that the disputed areas witness increasing violations, including killing, displacement and burning the houses of residents, saying that the Turkmen would be targeted if the Iraqi forces did not interfere as the key component of the area.
He stressed that the Iraqi government did not commit any violation against any of the residents, while it turned to intensify the presence of its forces there, saying that it is not expected that the Iraqi government will abandon its position from Kirkuk during the coming period. He stressed the need for strict position against the behavior of Kurdistan’s President Masoud Barzani who insisted on conducting referendum violating the laws and norms.
He that Ministry of Interior is one of the most important ministries for its direct impact on society due to its role to impose security and stability in the country during the current period, humanitarian and service duty at the same time. We are proud of its work and its cadres.
He added, “We need collective action and a single team to overcome the social and economic problems they have left after trying to destroy humanity. We hope that the internal cadres of associates, officers and employees of both sexes will make a double effort to create a generation and a better future for Iraq.”
He said that said that the Iraqi troops will eliminate ISIS extremist group from the city of Mousl after week, if the weather was suitable for resuming the current air raids against the strongholds of the extremist group. She stressed the need for achieving victory during the current fight against the extremists to restore security and stability for the areas that are under control of the extremists.
He added, in a statement to “Al Maghrib Today”, that the country is witnessing a security setback and there must be a strategic plan to fight it, including the amendment of the security command. The security situation in Iraq is disturbing especially in Baghdad, as the entrances of the city are completely shut down and the civilians are targeted without any clarification. Iraq has witnessed security deterioration before, but this time, the events are escalated and can’t be controlled.
He said that, Mosul liberation operations took long unjustified periods of time, despite the fact that Iraq has field coalition with 62 major countries, and that proves the existence of political conflicts that delayed the liberation operations.
He expressed his fear about the return of these political conflicts especially when the parliamentary elections are near, during which extremist operations are increased, the citizens suffer more and the government show the disability to control these circumstances.
He added that the current military operations follow isolation and surrounding techniques as they did with Al Noray mosque and other operations in order to control several areas.
In the meantime, some sectors started negotiating in several topics which causes chaos among “Daesh” organization. He added that, it is known for everyone that Baghdad is about to settle this battle military, and the city is getting ready for this battle through intelligence effort, eliminating inactive cells and arranging the elections.
