Egyptian parliamentarian Mahmoud Badr praised the approach adopted by President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, underlining his keenness to listen to young people and to know their visions over the developments witnessed in the country. He stressed that such approach has not been adopted before in the country, saying that the president leaves a new norm that should be adopted from the country’s leaders.
He added, in an interview with “Arabs Today”, “Since my first meeting with President Sisi, when he was then defense minister, he was keen to listen to us more than to speak to us.” He stressed that the president believes the importance of young people and their role to push forward the country, saying that he turned this approach into a practical policy when he took the power.
He said, “Egypt is on the right track thanks to the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah Sisi, despite the challenges it faces at home and conspiracies from abroad, in addition to the difficult economic conditions. The challenges facing the Egyptian state during the current period are not envisioned by any citizen.”
He added that there are dozens of projects implemented by the state throughout Egypt, which will have a great impact on changing the economic conditions and living conditions of citizens for the better.
He expressed his support for the decision taken by Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi to declare the emergency state, saying that the country lives in a battle of survival against the elements supported by regional and international intelligence. He praised the governmental performance to confront the different challenges in this regard, calling the citizens for supporting the government.
He added that he will vote for President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi during the coming presidential elections scheduled to be held in 2018, if he decided to run for a second term. He added that Sisi deserves the support of the Egyptian people, as he appreciates the Egyptian people and works to improve their situation.
