Egypt and Singapore agreed to expand bilateral cooperation and set up a number of joint development projects, said Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
Sisi, at a joint press conference with Singaporean President Tony Tan, said relations between the two countries will witness a boost in all domains.
He added that the two sides agreed on enhancing cooperation in the face of terrorism.
Tan arrived in Cairo on Sunday on a three-day visit, the first by a Singaporean president to Egypt in 20 years.
Sisi lauded Singapore's experiment in guaranteeing peaceful co-existence among its different segments.
Talks also covered the importance of finding a peaceful solution to crises in the Arab region, he added.
The Egyptian president said Tan's visit to Egypt coincides with the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic ties between Egypt and Singapore.
He said talks with the Singaporean president covered available investment opportunities in Egypt and under-construction mega projects, especially Suez Canal Development Corridor.
As a home of diverse ethnic mix of peoples, Sisi said Singapore offers a unique model for peaceful co-existence, a step that enhanced political, economic and social stability in the country and was mainly behind its development boom.
He added that he discussed with Tan the importance of joining efforts in the face of terrorism and addressing this serious phenomenon not only by security means but by refuting the destructive ideology the terrorists rely on to undermine their societies.
Sisi said talks also tackled the developments of the Palestinian issue and the importance of finding political settlements to crises in the Arab region to preserve the integrity and independence of those countries.
