Algerian parliamentarian Jamal Boras said that the Algerian parliamentarians discussed a large number of issues during their meeting with members of U.S Congress, including the Libyan crisis and the recent decision taken by Trump's Administration to prevent the citizens from seven countries from entering the American territories.
He added that the Algerian parliamentary delegation discussed a number of issues of common interest. He added that they underlined the ways to combat terrorism whice poses serious threat against both Arab and western countries.
He stressed that the American delegation was keen to describe Algeria as a close ally to the U.S on the regional level, as the country managed to keep stability despite the consecutive shocks coming from the neighbouring States, including Libya and Mali.
He added that the U.S congress delegation was keen to express desire to cooprate with Algeria to resolve the Libyan crisis. He stressed that they support the political solution for the Libyan crisis away from any foreign interference.
Regarding Trump's decision to prevent citizens of seven Muslim countries from entering the U.S, the Algerian parliamentarian said that they do not pay attention to the issue.
