The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has slapped Zamalek fullback Ahmed Samir with a two-match ban for spitting at an opponent during his team’s 2-0 Egyptian Premier League victory over Beni Sueif Telephones on Monday. Samir will sit out of Friday’s clash with Masry, which will be played behind closed doors, and will miss a scheduled match with Petrojet on 3 January. The EFA also announced that it had hit Zamalek with an LE40,000 fine due to “the behaviour of the team’s supporters,” without elaborating further. Similarly, Ahly coach Manuel Jose was fined LE5000 after a touchline row with referee Gehad Greisha during the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Ismaily on Tuesday. ahramonline .
