AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato will miss the start of the Serie A season after tearing a leg muscle in training. The Rossoneri confirmed yesterday that the Brazil international had pulled out of a training session after injuring his left leg and following medical tests today, the club confirmed the extent of the damage on their official website. A statement read: "AC Milan can confirm that Alexandre Pato suffered a tear to his left adductor muscle during training at Milanello yesterday. In the coming weeks he will undergo further medical tests to establish how long it will take for him to recover and return to playing football." The 22-year-old was restricted to just 11 league appearances last season due to a series of leg injuries and will definitely not feature against Sampdoria on Sunday. FIFA
