Australia have been dealt a blow ahead of Tuesday's FIFA World Cup™ qualifier against Thailand after Harry Kewell was ruled out through injury. Kewell was hurt during yesterday's shock 1-0 loss to Oman in Muscat and was replaced in the 54th minute by Robbie Kruse. The Melbourne Victory star was found to have aggravated a muscle strain and coach Holger Osieck and medical staff agreed to let the 33-year-old return home for treatment. The extent of the injury is unclear at this stage. Australia need at least a point from their remaining two matches to book their place in the next round of qualifying. Nigeria also dominated the second half only to be thwarted by the brave visitors, whose attacks were confined to a few breakaways that did not seriously trouble recalled goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.
