Honduran midfielder Roger Espinoza suffered a right ankle sprain in Sporting Kansas City's 1-1 Major League Soccer draw at Columbus and will be sidelined up to a month, the team said Monday. An MRI exam and X-rays on Monday revealed the extent of the damage. Espinoza will miss his homeland's CONCACAF regional FIFA World Cup Brazil 2014™ qualifying matches on Friday against Panama and Canada on 16 October as a result. Honduras is ahead of Canada on goal difference in its qualifying group with both nations on seven points, two behind group leader Panama. Espinoza is expected to be back in time for the MLS play-offs for Sporting Kansas City, who lead the Eastern Conference.
