Evian striker Sidney Govou could be out of action for up to six months after undergoing surgery on today on a ruptured Achilles tendon, medical sources confirmed. The 32-year-old former French international will be in a cast for six weeks before beginning physiotherapy. Govou - capped 49 times but now out of the international picture - injured himself during the first half of Saturday's 3-2 loss to Sochaux. He suffered a similiar injury while playing for Lyon in 2009 and was out of action for four months.
