Marseille striker Andre-Pierre Gignac has been ruled out for six weeks after suffering a left foot fracture. Gignac, who has scored five goals this season, picked up the injury during Sunday's 1-0 Ligue 1 loss at Troyes. "It's not good news," said Gignac after the match. "That's how it is, but that's part and parcel of a footballer's life, but it's often bad luck for me, and even doubly so because we lost this evening." "I'm a fighter!! I'm going to come back even stronger!! I've been there before!!" Gignac wrote later on his Twitter account. The club confirmed in a statement on Monday: "Andre-Pierre Gignac is suffering from a fracture to his fifth metatarsal. He will be out for six weeks." Marseille lost top spot in Ligue 1 to Paris Saint-Germain at the weekend on goal difference after their second defeat of the season. FIFA
