Fulham's Iranian-German midfielder Ashkan Dejagah has been ruled out for the rest of the season with an ankle injury. Dejagah will undergo surgery to repair ankle ligament damage suffered when the Iran international collided with an advertising board during Fulham's 3-2 victory over QPR in the Premier League on April 1. The 26-year-old is expected to have the operation next week and Fulham manager Martin Jol confirmed on Thursday that Dejagah will not play again this campaign. "Ashkan Dejagah needs an operation on his ankle ligament. That will be next week and I think he will be out for the rest of the season," Jol said. Tehran-born Dejagah joined Fulham from German club Wolfsburg last year and had impressed Jol in his 24 appearances for the west London club before the injury. From: AFP
