A French rider from the Cofidis team competing on the Tour de France has been arrested and two other unidentified men have been taken into custody in Marseille in connection with an alleged case of doping, court sources here confirmed. Earlier police raided the Cofidis cycling team hotel at Bourg-en-Bresse in eastern France, during the first rest day of the Tour de France. The inquiry, which was opened last year and involves an alleged case of doping, is being overseen by investigating magistrate Annaick Le Goff. The two unidentified men are suspected of "having dealings" with the arrested rider, according to the court, which will not give further details before the end of the custody period of the three men which could last up to 48 hours.
