Iranian archer Milad Vaziri booked a berth for the 2012 London Olympic Games.Vaziri defeated Thamwong from Thailand 6-2 in the men's individual recurve final game in the competitions, which were held in Tehran, Iran. "I already knew I could advance to the Olympics. I dedicate my achievement to all the Iranian people. This success also belongs to my teammates," Vaziri said. Another Iranian archer, Keyvan Riyazimehr, claimed the bronze medal after beating Calvin Lee Kar Wai from Hong Kong 6-0 in the event. The 17th Asian Archery Championships started on October 18 and finished on October 24. The Asian Archery Championship brought 22 countries together.
