Defending champions Helsingborg moved level with second-placed Malmo in the Allsvenskan standings after claiming a 3-1 win over ten-man Syrianska. Erik Sundin and Alvaro Dos Santos, from the penalty spot, gave Helsingborg a 2-0 lead after just 19 minutes and when Syrianska lost goalkeeper Dwayne Miller to a red card soon after, the game looked as good as over. Syrianska gave themselves a lifeline when Dinko Felic pulled a goal back in the 54th minute, but they were unable to find an equaliser and Helsingborg substitute Daniel Nordmark wrapped up the win with his side's third in the 90th minute. Helsingborg moved onto 28 points with the victory, level with Malmo who play struggling GAIS on Monday. Gefle earned only their third victory of the season with an impressive 5-0 defeat of IFK Gothenburg, with Daniel Bernhardsson, Jakob Orlov, Mikael Dahlberg and Alexander Faltsetas the men on target. The day's other match saw GIF Sundsvall defeat Mjallby 3-1 thanks to goals from Emil Forsberg, Marcus Danielsson and Simon Helg. Mjallby had equalised through Par Eriksson's 18th-minute effort.
