China's boxers booked the country three spots for the 2012 London Olympic Games at the AIBA 2011 World Boxing Championships which is underway in Azerbaijan's capital Baku. In 48kg category, Chinese Zou Shiming secured victory over Kaeo Pongprayoon of Thailand and booked a spot for the London 2012 Olympics after qualifying for the semifinal of the championships in Baku. Another China's athlete Wang Huanhuan (91kg) also progressed for 1/2 final and secured the Olympic berth. Though China's Meng Fanlong (81kg) lost to Kazakhstan's Adilbek Niyazimbetov on Wednesday, he also won a spot for the London Olympics. China is represented in all weight categories at Baku Mundial which has brought together 570 boxers from 113 countries and regions. The Championship is a qualifying event for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
