Mark Webber topped the times for Red Bull during Friday morning's opening practice for Sunday's British Grand Prix. The veteran Australian clocked a lap of the damp and greasy Silverstone circuit in one minute 46.603 seconds towards the end of the session. Webber's time was over half a second quicker than second quickest Michael Schumacher of Mercedes. Williams' Brazilian driver Rubens Barrichello was third quickest ahead of Mexican Sergio Perez of Sauber. Brazilian Felipe Massa was fifth quickest for Ferrari followed by Nico Rosberg in the second Mercedes. Spaniard Fernando Alonso was seventh fastest in the second Ferrari ahead of McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton and Nico Hulkenberg of Force India. Spaniard Jaime Alguersuari finished the session tenth fastest for Toro Rosso. Australian debutant Daniel Ricciardo of Hispania finished the session in last place.
