Marion Bartoli of France and top-seed Samantha Stosur of Australia advanced Saturday with quarterfinal wins at the Japan Women's Open. Stosur scored a smooth 6-2, 6-3 victory over Chanelle Scheepers of South Africa, and second-seeded Bartoli knocked off Japan's Ayumi Morita 6-2, 6-1. Stosur, who won the tournament two years ago, will take on Zheng Jie of China in the finals. Zheng advanced Saturday with a 0-6, 7-5, 6-3 win over fourth-seeded Petra Cetkovska. Bartoli will face Germany's third-seeded Angelique Kerber, who advanced with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Tamarine Tanasugarn of Thailand. The tournament schedule was knocked back a day due to rain Friday. Officials hoped to get the semifinal matches in later Saturday.
