Royal Delta powered to victory in the final furlong to win the $2 million Breeders' Cup Ladies' Classic by two lengths. The three-year-old filly's strong late run under jockey Jose Lezcano on Friday gave trainer Bill Mott his second straight win and fourth overall in the Ladies' Classic, the finale of the first day of a two-day, 15-race Breeders' Cup programme worth $26 million. It's Tricky finished second and Pachattack was third, another two lengths back. Plum Pretty, the Kentucky Oaks winner trained by Bob Baffert, broke first and looked headed to a wire-to-wire victory but faded in the final stages. She finished fourth in the 10-horse field.
