Former two-time Masters winner Jose Maria Olazabal and Scotland's Colin Montgomerie will lead a European team against Asia in next year's Royal Trophy in Brunei, organisers said Wednesday. The team match-play competition will be held in honour of Spanish superstar Seve Ballesteros who founded the event and died this year following a brain tumour, his former friend and compatriot Olazabal said. "It will be a very special occasion and I am confident that the world of golf will support it in honouring Seve's legacy and career," added the Europe's 2012 Ryder Cup captain. Olazabal, who won the Masters in 1994 and 1999, will captain the European side and made Montgomerie his first pick, praising the eight-time European Tour Order of Merit winner as "one of the great competitors of our sport". The sixth edition of the Royal Trophy, to be played in Brunei on 14-16 December 2012, will see the continents compete over a series of sixteen foursomes, four-ball and singles matches. Europe claimed this year's edition in Thailand led by captain Montgomerie.
