Juventus said Wednesday that they have taken out their options to turn the loan moves of strikers Alessandro Matri and Fabio Quagliarella, winger Simone Pepe and fullback Marco Motta into permanent transfers. Matri, who has two Italy caps, performed well after moving to the Turin giants from Cagliari in January, netting nine goals in Serie A. Azzurri international Quagliarella, who arrived from Napoli in the close season, was Juve's top-scorer with nine goals before a knee injury ruled him out of the rest of last season. Motta and Pepe have both signed four-year contracts after Juve took out the options they had on the players following agreements with Udinese. Matri, 26, will be with the club until 2015 too. Quagliarella has signed a three-year deal. Juve will be trying to bounce back under new coach Antonio Conte next term after finishing seventh in Serie A last season and missing out on qualification for European competition. photo: Alessandro Matri and Marco Motta.
