Iran earned a silver medal and finished in the ninth place in the 2011 Judo World Cup in Azerbaijan.Iranian athlete, Javad Mahjoub, claimed a silver medal in the World Cup competitions in Baku, Azerbaijan on Sunday. The Iranian athlete of 100kg weight class lost to Levan Zhorzholiani from Georgia in the final game and claimed Iran's only medal. Mahjoub defeated athletes from Kazakhstan, Egypt, Turkey and Ukraine in the competitions. Azerbaijan claimed the championship title with two golds, one silver and one bronze medal and Russia finished in the second place, bagging one gold, one silver and four bronze medals and Egypt came third with one gold and one bronze medal.
