Inter Milan are looking to continue their revival under manager Stefano Pioli when they take on Lazio in the Coppa Italia quarterfinals on Tuesday.
The Italian tactician has led the club to eight wins in 10 league matches since replacing Frank de Boer and they currently are fourth in the league table, three points off third-placed Napoli who occupy the last Champions League place.
Inter will count on the services of their in-form captain Mauro Icardi who is currently the league's top scorer along with Juventus forward Gonzalo Higuain and Roma striker Edin Dzeko on 15 goals.
On the other hand, Lazio go into the tie on the back of a shock 0-1 home defeat to 11th-placed Chievo. The capital club are two points off Inter in the league table.
In another quarterfinal tie, Rome will be the favorites when they face Cesena, who lie 19th in Serie B. Despite a league loss on Sunday to Sampdoria that allowed Juventus to extend their lead on top of the league.
Coppa Italia holders Juventus and Napoli have already booked their places in the semifinals thanks to wins over Milan and Fiorentina respectively.
