Zamalek lost his hopes to reach the CAF Champions League semi-final on Sunday after his 0-1 defeat against Congolese Vita Club at Alexandria Stadium.
Sentuma Yunus scored the only goal of the match in the 54th minute to knock the Egyptian team chance to continue its career in the Champions League.
Zamalek remained at the third place of the group with four points, sharing the spoils with Sudan's Al-Hilal, while Vita Club raised his tally to 10 points in second place, to make sure they qualify for the semi-finals, accompanied by TP Mazembe that achieved the top of the standings in the same points.
The loss is first for the Whites under new coach Hossam Hassan.
