The game between Zamalek and Enppi was delayed for 30 minutes due to fierce clashes erupted between Zamalek Supporters and police forces tasked with security of the stadium, said Amer Hussein, an official at the Egyptian Federation Association.
The clashes banned the bus carrying Zamalek team from entering the court.
Police used tear gas to disperse members of hardcore fan group Ultras White Knights in front of Cairo's Air Defence Stadium, a few hours before Zamalek take on ENPPI in a top-of-the-table clash.
Several vehicles were damaged amid the melee.
