As anyone will agree, there is no better way to reduce the occurrence of breast cancer and mitigate the social taboos and suffering that come with it than sensitising future generations about the risks and remedies of cancer from an early age.
For the first time in the Pink Caravan Ride’s six-year history, young advocates of breast cancer awareness will participate in a 6-kilometre horse ride to mark the seventh edition of the campaign. Named the ‘Pink Caravan Children’s Ride’, this momentous event will take place on Friday,10th March, at Desert Palm – Dubai, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m..
The event will also bring together young equestrians from Dubai Riding for the Disabled Institute, who will be showing their support to the cause by undertaking a professionally supervised 1.5-kilometre ride.
The event has been organised to join the voices of the youth with the Pink Caravan’s breast cancer drive in the nation, which has been working tirelessly to dispel the numerous myths that surround the disease, and has travelled the seven emirates providing free breast cancer screenings to 41,391 people at 455 medical centres.
The event is open to both children and adults, participating with their own horses.
